Zakir Khan was not a good student from his childhood. After schooling, he decided to be a Radio Producer and for this, he went do Delhi and joined the radio station and there he did radio programming at ARSL for a year.
After that, he shifted to Jaipur in 2009 for an internship and with it’s he did many types of jobs there to pay his daily cost. After complete his internship when he decided to come back Delhi he has not enough money to pay his room rent. at that time his landlord helped him by forgiving his rent and also given him money to travel back to Delhi. While in Delhi, Zakir tried his hands in different fields, ranging from theatre to radio but didn’t work.
After some days he started work as a copywriter and main researcher at HT Media Ltd. He worked there for about 4 years. He didn’t interest in this type of job. Later his roommate Vishwas encourages him to start the music.
After a few days, he started performing in a cafe and people started liking his joke. After a while, Zakir was called to Mumbai to write content for the news comedy show “On Air With AIB.” In 2012, he won Comedy Central’s ‘India’s Best Stand Up Comedian. He was applauded for his comedy style in NDTV Prime’s ‘The Rising Stars of Comedy.’ He is well known for his punchline “Sakht Launda,”
In 2015, he wrote and co-hosted for a news comedy show ‘On Air with AIB,’. The show was telecasted on Star World, India. Some of his popular comedy shows include “Trading Station” (2014), “A Promising Game” (2017), “Haq Se Single” (2017) and “Chacha Vidhayak Hain Hamare” (2018).
In September 2017, Zakir participates as a mentor in the fifth season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, which was judged by Akshay Kumar. In the future, he appeared as one of the judges in Amazon Prime’s “Comicstaan Season 2.”
Today he is one of the biggest stand-up comedian in India and also has a youtube channel with over 4.87M subscribers.
